. .:: Little Josselyn was welcomed with open arms and gobs of love by three older brothers, her grandmother, and of course, her parents! And to make Josselyn's birth even more awesome, she was born with the caul. At 1 in 80,000 births, it's quite rare to be born with the caul. In the Midieval times, this was a sign of good fortune. For one, the child was exempt from the possibility of drowning to death (it was highly desireable for sailors to have a caul to protect the from drowning, and they'd purchase them from mothers at a high price!) But above all, Josselyn is considered to be bound for greatness!! It was a thrill and an honor to photograph her birth. ::. .
